Editorial & Authentication Standards
How Michael Godard Gallery researches, verifies, and reviews the content in our artwork guides.
Sourcing
Every factual claim in a Michael Godard Gallery artwork guide, including edition types, edition sizes, dimensions, prices, medium, certificate of authenticity, and shipping, is drawn from our own first-party product records for the exact artwork being discussed. Biographical and stylistic information about the artist is drawn from our gallery About Michael Godard reference and other approved gallery materials. We do not repeat unverified claims from third-party sites.
Source Precedence
When more than one supplier price or edition sheet covers the same title, the most recent sheet takes precedence for the titles it covers. For example, the October supplier sheet overrides the June sheet for every title that the October sheet lists. Titles that a newer sheet does not cover continue to follow the older sheet and the live product record.
Keeping Guides in Sync
When an edition, size, quantity or price changes, every place it appears is updated together: the edition table, the summary and quick facts, the FAQ answers and their structured data (schema), and the starting prices shown on related-artwork cards. A change is not considered complete until all of these agree with the current product record.
Authentication
Michael Godard Gallery is an authorized Michael Godard dealer. Every limited edition print ships numbered, insured, and with a certificate of authenticity documenting its edition type, edition number, and artist verification.
Review
Guides are written by the Michael Godard Gallery editorial team and reviewed by Michael of Michael Godard Gallery before publication. Each guide is checked against the live product record for the artwork it covers, and re-checked when prices or availability change.
