About Michael Godard
Michael Godard, the Las Vegas painter born in 1963 who drummed in bands before art, earned the nickname "Rockstar of the Art World" for his bold, character driven style. Raining Romance shows a quieter side of that work, paring his olive characters down with negative space and soft color to build a romantic mood rather than a punchline. Godard lost his daughter Paige to cancer and supports children's cancer charities, including St. Jude.
