About Beer Thirty
Beer Thirty trades the martini glass that made Michael Godard famous for a cold beer set against a natural backdrop, staged with the same bold, saturated color and theatrical style that has defined his work since the 1990s. It is a reminder that while olives and grapes anchor his most recognized catalog, Godard's subject range stretches wider, into nature scenes, animal portraits, and everyday leisure moments rendered with his signature pop-art outlines.
The piece is a popular choice for bar and billiards room decor and beer themed wall art, bringing Godard's lighthearted style to a game room or home bar. If you are ready to start or grow a collection, browse the full range of Michael Godard art for sale.

Beyond the cocktail glass in Godard's catalog
Godard has spent more than thirty years building a catalog that reaches well past the martini glasses and casino floors most collectors associate with his name, and Beer Thirty is one of the clearest examples: a nature backdrop, a cold beer, and the same theatrical color and character work he brings to a busy bar scene. It sits comfortably alongside his gaming and bar pieces for anyone furnishing a man cave, and it also works as an easy entry point for a collector drawn to his style but not to the cocktail imagery specifically.
About Michael Godard
From draftsman and drummer to "Rockstar of the Art World"
Born in 1963 and later based in Las Vegas, Godard studied at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena and at UNLV, and spent years working as a draftsman and commercial illustrator, and drumming in Las Vegas bands, before painting full time. The turning point was a friend's request for a birthday painting about dirty martinis: he answered with personified, animated olive characters full of attitude, and that became the visual language behind the nickname collectors know him by, the "Rockstar of the Art World."
The signature style
His pop art is instantly recognizable, personified characters and bold subjects set against high-contrast backgrounds, rendered with theatrical exaggeration and a satirist's sense of timing. Beer Thirty applies that same craft to a beer and nature scene, proof the style travels well beyond the cocktail lounge.
Beyond the canvas, and giving back
His book Don't Drink and Draw, with a foreword by friend and collector Ozzy Osbourne, was named an Art Book of the Year in 2006. Since 2006, following the loss of his daughter Paige to brain cancer at 16, the artist has maintained an ongoing charitable relationship with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and related causes. This title joins a catalog of limited edition fine art he has been building for more than twenty years. For the complete story, read the full artist biography.
