About Michael Godard
"Olive House" is a satirical, pop-culture martini scene, in which the olive cast stands in for a familiar cultural reference, played for laughs. It was made by an artist whose career runs well outside the boundaries of a typical painter's resume. He was born on March 10, 1963, and spent his early years in Pasadena, California, before Las Vegas, Nevada became his adopted home and the backdrop for his career. Godard studied at ArtCenter College of Design and at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
