Michael Godard painted Sparkling Romance in the high-contrast, character-driven style that has made him one of the best-known pop artists working today.
A favorite for botanical themed decor and floral wall art, bringing Godard's bold pop art palette to a floral subject.
"On a beautiful moonlit night, this couple enjoys a sparkling romance. The female strawberry splashes the champagne with her heel after her gift of a long stem red rose from her man decked out in chocolate. The glass of champagne is the perfect way to celebrate a Sparkling Romance." ~ Michael Godard

About Michael Godard
"Sparkling Romance" is a champagne-and-strawberry composition, where his personified strawberry characters take center stage against a bold background. From that foundation he has expanded into a long list of recurring bodies of work, including his Flower Series, a Frog Triptych, a Safari Series, a Tour of Europe Series, a series of Masters parodies that riff on art-history figures, and named collections such as "Keys of Grey," "Key of G," "Keys to Wine," "Party Like a Rock Star," and "Seven Deadly Zins."
