"This piece is a tribute to volunteers across the country that donated their hair to support the cause of making wigs for people who have lost their hair during chemotherapy cancer treatment. This piece depicts a champagne bottle of faith & hope, and champagne strawberries with angel winged ribbons carrying bundles of hair bounded by pink ribbon that signifies breast cancer awareness." ~ Michael Godard

About Michael Godard

Michael Godard, born in 1963, is a Las Vegas painter who drummed in bands before art and became known as the "Rockstar of the Art World" for giving fruit its own personalities. Angel Hair shows a more tender side of that work, pairing champagne with personified strawberries in a piece dedicated to hair donation and breast cancer awareness, a cause that resonates with an artist who lost his daughter Paige to cancer and supports children's cancer charities, including St. Jude.
