About Bar Hop

Bar Hop is part of Michael Godard's expanding catalog of limited edition fine art. Rendered in Godard's signature bold, saturated color palette, this piece carries the same theatrical exaggeration and craftsmanship collectors recognize across his work: it reflects the same bold, saturated color work and theatrical composition that define Godard's catalog across every series he's produced. As with all of Godard's limited editions, the piece rewards close viewing: he is known for tucking hidden names, dates, and initials into his compositions, giving collectors new details to find long after the piece is on the wall.

About Michael Godard

Michael Godard was born in 1963 and came up the hard way in Las Vegas: before he ever showed in a gallery, he made the rounds of bars and restaurants with paintings under his arm, trading finished canvases for meals at "drink and draw" nights while living in his car to support his children. That hustle helped earn him the title the Rockstar of the Art World, and Bar Hop looks straight back at those roots. Godard, who lost his daughter Paige to cancer, supports children's cancer charities including St. Jude.
