About Michael Godard
The pun in “$1000 We Olive Cash” sits squarely inside the sense of humor that earned Michael Godard the nickname “Rockstar of the Art World,” an artist willing to build an entire composition around a single wordplay involving his signature olive characters and a stack of casino winnings. The piece belongs to a recurring group of money and gambling themed works drawn from his adopted home city of Las Vegas.
