About Michael Godard
"Wise Guy" trades Michael Godard’s usual bar-cart characters for a cigar-smoking, city-slick figure surrounded by cars and gambling imagery, another entry in his long-running fascination with Las Vegas underworld style. The subject fits an artist who spent years working inside the city’s nightlife scene long before he ever showed in a gallery.
