Godard calls this his first real painting with a brush, and says the gator at its center epitomizes the atmosphere in Vegas. That high-roller swagger makes it a natural centerpiece for a man cave, game room, or home bar.

About Michael Godard

"Vegas Style" centers on a gator that, in Godard's words, epitomizes the atmosphere in Vegas, all cigar-and-casino swagger from his adopted city. Godard was born in 1963 and is based in Las Vegas, and the success of work like this has funded one of the more sustained charitable commitments in contemporary art. After losing his daughter Paige to cancer in 2006, he has stayed closely involved with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and other children's cancer charities, painting alongside seriously ill children.
