About Michael Godard

Michael Godard, born in 1963, came up as a drummer in Las Vegas before painting full time and becoming known as the Rockstar of the Art World. Bullets brings together two subjects he returns to constantly, games of chance and his personified martini and olive characters, both pulled from the casino nightlife he has lived inside for most of his life. That dice-and-cards vocabulary runs through dozens of his canvases and reads more like firsthand reporting than a theme.
