"I have lots of friends who are pilots, and an uncle was a pilot in Vietnam," Michael Godard says, explaining how a local pilot named Jason led him to a Snoopy-style flying ace: four aces take wing, the glass stem is shaped like Snoopy's biplane, and the pilot wears the scarf, leather flying helmet, and goggles Snoopy always had.
Flying Aces is a limited edition canvas giclee by Las Vegas pop artist Michael Godard, offered in the Signed and Numbered Edition of 250 at 28" x 35". Its poker and aviation mashup makes it a natural fit for a game room, man cave, or home bar.
"I have lots of friends who are pilots; and an uncle was a pilot in vietnam. A local pilot named Jason asked me if i had any pilot pieces. My first thought was about snoopy, who was a flying ace, so I thought why not have four aces, which is the best of all hands. here the aces have wings and are all flying, hence “flying aces.” The stem of the glass is shaped like Snoopy’s biplane and the pilot is outfitted like Snoopy always was, with a scarf, leather flying helmet and goggles." ~ Michael Godard
This is a gallery wrapped canvas.

About Michael Godard
Michael Godard, born in 1963, earned the nickname "Rockstar of the Art World" during his years as a Las Vegas drummer before he painted full time. Flying Aces blends his poker and martini imagery with a sense of motion, giving the four aces wings and a Snoopy-inspired pilot rather than keeping them on the card table.
