About Michael Godard
Flying High belongs to a group of Michael Godard paintings that put his olive characters airborne, extending a concept first developed inside a martini glass into the open sky. Since 2006, following the death of his sixteen-year-old daughter Paige to brain cancer, Godard has supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, regularly visiting hospitals to paint alongside children facing serious illness, a commitment that St. Jude formally recognized in 2017.
