About Michael Godard
I Lost My Marbles brings a loose, comic energy to Michael Godard's grape characters, and that sense of humor has been part of his work since the very beginning. Before he was a painter, Godard spent years as a working drummer in Las Vegas bands and additional time in architectural drafting and commercial illustration. Painting became his focus only after a friend asked for a birthday piece built around dirty martinis, and Godard responded by giving the olive in the glass a face and a personality rather than treating it as a garnish.
