Michael Godard created Living Life on the Edge as part of his wine cellar art series, an area of his catalog defined by the same bold palette and character-driven humor found across his best-known work.

This piece speaks to fans of wine cellar art, wine and vineyard wall art, and Godard's wider grape and cork themed catalog.

"I really enjoyed doing this painting. I have always believed that to truly live life you have to live it on the edge and be willing to take risks whether they are physical, emotional or financial. You have to put yourself out there and that is when I feel most alive." ~ Michael Godard

This is a gallery wrapped canvas.

  • Artist's Proof features a paint embellishment
  • Gallery Proof features a 5 color paint embellishment

About Michael Godard

Living Life on the Edge places Michael Godard's grape characters at the water's edge, and pieces set against the ocean form a recurring strand in his catalog even though his reputation was built in the middle of the Nevada desert. Since 2006, following the death of his sixteen-year-old daughter Paige to brain cancer, Godard has channeled real energy into causes including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Nevada Cancer Institute, regularly visiting hospitals to paint alongside children who are sick or disabled, work formally recognized by St. Jude in 2017.
