Vodka Sands is a limited edition canvas giclée by Las Vegas pop artist Michael Godard, offered in the G, Signed & Numbered, Artist's Proof, and Gallery Proof editions at 17.5" x 23.5" and 28" x 37.5".
This one is a full-blown Godard gag. He took Canada's oil "tar sands" and reimagined them as the world's largest supply of vodka, the "Vodka Sands," then set his olive characters loose in an automotive, desert oil-field scene to work the punchline. It is a send-up of resource booms with a martini at the end of it, and it plays perfectly in a bar, man cave, garage, or anywhere the art is allowed to have a sense of humor.

Vodka Sands pairs Godard's olive characters with an automotive, desert setting and a tongue-in-cheek vodka punchline, which is right at home for an artist whose entire catalog grew out of bar, casino, and cocktail culture.
